Family Child Care

 

Family Child Care (FCC) is in-home care provided by an adult family member occupying government quarters, certified through Child and Youth Services (CYS). Family Child Care offers the advantage of flexibility over center-based care, including the ability to offer extended care, and long-term care during deployments or field duty. The same regulations and safety guidelines enforced in CYS child care centers apply to FCC homes. All providers have regular safety, fire, and regulation compliance inspections and once a month an FCC staff member conducts a visit to each FCC home, ensuring a high-quality safe and developmentally appropriate atmosphere for the children.

 

Fees

An FCC provider is considered an independent contractor/private business. The fees are agreed upon between the parent and the provider.

ArmyFCC.com is an information and referral tool for parents considering using Family Child Care (FCC) as their child care option. The private section is made up of detailed text and pictures describing individual FCC Provider's homes. This information is intended to help parents see both the quality of the FCC Homes but also the uniqueness and individuality of each FCC Provider. This section is password protected and can only be reached through the Installation Child and Youth Services (CYS) Central Enrollment Registry (CER) Office. To get more information about reviewing FCC Provider Homes, a parent can find contact information on the public section of ArmyFCC.com.

 

FCC Providers Wanted

Family Child Care is also a great opportunity for those who want to stay at home with their children. You can become a certified provider and supplement your family’s income by keeping children in your home. We offer an extensive training program that is free.
