Youth Computer Labs/
Homework Labs


Intent
Computer and technology programs are to help children and youth develop to their full potential by increasing technology literacy and skills, strengthen their homework ability, increase participation in youth sponsorship opportunities and to learn how to use the Internet in a positive manor. Specific program learning objectives will be targeted through use of appropriate software and web exploration. A computer lab instructor and or trained staff is designated to coordinate operations for YCL.

Scheduling of Lab
Use of the lab must be coordinated with CYS management and lab instructor. YS and SAS
activities have priority during program hours of operation.

Use of YCL by Outside Groups
All CYS YCL rules must be followed. If youth are going use the INTERNET they must complete the CYS-YCL Permission Card. Lab needs to be scheduled with CYS program management in coordination with the CL instructor.

Staff Usage
Staff can use the lab for planning, activity
exploration, and training only.

Eligibility
Eligibility for use of all CYS programs will be based on criteria outlined in AR215-1, Updated 16, dtd Oct. 98 and AR608-10 Child Development Services, 1990/1997
