Fort Monroe takes no position on where parents should educate their children. However, we are committed to providing military parents useful information and resources. We are therefore providing the following links and information for military parents who are interested in exploring Home Schooling possibilities:

It should be noted that few Fort Monroe families find a need for homeschooling, since the standards and quality of education in Virginia and our servicing local school districts are high and provide opportunities meeting the needs of almost all children.
Note:  Those who do choose to Home School, need to register with the school district and sign a contract of understanding. 

Fort Monroe’s CYS Computer Labs, General Library, and other facilities are available to all homeschooled children.
