Current Advertising Rates:

Ads are placed on the Fort Monroe MWR Home Page, this Sponsorship and Advertising page, and one additional Program page of the sponsor's choice. Ads may be linked to a website of the sponsor's choice. Also, ads are included in 100 x 100 pixel spaces on the Fort Monroe MWR E-zine. The MWR E-zine is distributed weekly to over 3,000 recipients working on Fort Monroe.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SPONSORS

Sponsorships:
The Fort Monroe MWR website is available to anyone surfing the Internet. Visitors expect the site to offer specific, accurate information. With that in mind, Fort Monroe MWR has a responsibility to insure that sponsorships are sensitive to a diverse customer audience.

Specifications for Art Work & Responsibility for Sponsorships:
The Fort Monroe MWR Webmaster shall be responsible to insure that all specifications are met for the design, placement, updating and removal of all sponsor ads from the Website. Fort Monroe MWR is responsible for creation of sponsor’s ad for website, unless the sponsor provides the ad. Sponsor shall submit logo, graphics, and text in electronic format by means of e-mail to the Fort Monroe MWR Webmaster for use. The sponsor also may give permission to the Webmaster to copy its advertisement from another website. Ads will not include animation unless agreed to by the sponsor and Fort Monroe MWR

Payment:
Website advertisements must be paid in advance. An ad will be placed on the website within three (3) business days of artwork approval by client. The ad will be available for approval within seven (7) business days from the date the contract is signed, paid, and received by the Webmaster. Website advertising rates are subject to change. There is no refund for ads cancelled prior to the end of the contract term.

Space Availability & Placement:
The number of sponsorship(s) sold per web page shall be dictated by the size of the ad. Sponsors may request placement on a specific page. Requests will be honored based upon availability.

Acceptable Sponsorship Standards and Placement:
Acceptable sponsorships shall be appropriate to all regardless of age, sex, ethnic origin, gender, or other factors. Unacceptable sponsorships contain nudity/pornography, adult and/or hate language, tobacco, alcohol, or similar materials, and will be strictly prohibited. Because the purpose of the Fort Monroe MWR website is to provide information to the public regarding Fort Monroe MWR services and structure, it is considered an unofficial website. Fort Monroe MWR is making ad space available, for a fee, to raise funds for website improvement. As such, Fort Monroe MWR reserves the right to make space available to paid advertisers who meet sponsorship standards.

GIFTS TO MWR ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVAL PROCESS

There are on occasion inquiries regarding the process of accepting and sending gift donations to MWR.  For clarification purposes, the information below provides a brief summary of the regulatory guidance governing the acceptance and/or declination of gifts and donations to MWR.

AR 215-1, para. 13-14 outlines the conditions under which the Army can accept gifts to MWR.  The garrison commander can approve a gift with dollar value of up to $50,000. The following items must be addressed in a donor's letter, including:
- description of the product or service.
- the overall dollar value of the offer.
- the time period covered by the offer.
- details of any restrictions or conditions.
- whether or not the donor will package and ship.
- any other information that will help evaluate the offer.
